Before the event 

How do I get my card back?

Before the event, byby going to the Villars Tourist Office from Monday 19 June 2023:

  • If you have already created your account, you will just have to link it with the card number
  • If you don't have an account, you will be able to recharge your card at the Tourist Office (recharge by credit card or cash)

During the event:

  • At the "cashless counter" present on the site (reloading by credit card or cash)

Please note: we will only take tickets and will not give change. But don't worry, your card balance can be refunded at the end of the event.

You can top up your account as many times as you like, before and during the event.

How do I recharge my account before the event?

Before the event you can recharge your card in two ways: 

1. By creating an account on the Villars Escalade website, you can top up your cashless account online using your bank card or TWINT (please note that we do not accept American Express). You can then pick up your card at the Tourist Office from June 19, 2023, or on site at the "cashless counter". 

2. By going to the Villars Tourist Office from June 19, 2023. Reloading possible by credit card, TWINT or cash.

 

Is it mandatory to create an account?

No, you can recharge your card directly at the "cashless counters" on site. Your card will then remain completely anonymous. Please note: in this case, your card cannot be blocked in case of loss or theft. To avoid this problem, we invite you to take a picture of your cashless card with its identification numbers.

Why create an account?

By creating an account, you can:

  • View your card balance and transaction history
  • Register your credit card for a faster reload
  • Ask for the blocking of your card at the "cashless counter" and get a new one in case of loss or theft
  • Reload before the event via the climbing website
  • Get your balance back after the event

Note that creating an online account is optional and can be done at any time.

Is there a charge for the card?

No, but an activation fee of CHF 1.00 will be charged on your first top-up only.

During the event 

How do I recharge my account during the event?

During the event you can recharge your card in two ways: 

  1. With your Smartphone on the website by scanning the QR code on your card
  2. At the "cashless counters" on site (top-up by credit card, TWINT or cash) Please note that we do not accept American Express.

Please note: we only take tickets and do not give change on site. But don't worry, your card balance can be refunded at the end of the event.

You can top up your account as many times as you like, before and during the event.

 

Can I use this card for the entire event?

This card will be the only means of payment accepted on the entire site for drinks at the climbing bar and at our restaurants.

What happens if my card is lost or stolen?

If you have created an account on the event website of the event, you will be able to request the blocking of your card by going to the "cashless counter".

If you do not wish to create an account, we invite you to take a picture of your cashless card with its identification numbers.

This identification is required to block your card. If you have not created an account and associated your card, the blocking will be impossible.

Your card is like your wallet: if you lose it, the money stored on it can potentially also be lost.

How do I take care of my card?

Your card is equipped with an electronic chip in which your money is stored. Take care of it to avoid any inconvenience! Avoid any exposure to heat or flame and do not try to pierce it: this would immediately render it inoperative.

How can I find out the balance on my card?

If you have created an account, you will be able to view your balance on the event website. of the event. You can also request your balance at a "cashless counter".

After the event 

What happens to my money after the event?

It is possible to recover the money remaining on your card after the event if the balance is greater than CHF 2.00. To do this, log in to your account and check that your balance is correct. You can then request a refund. If possible, your balance will be refunded to the payment method(s) you used to make your top-ups. If not, you will need to provide your IBAN.

After the Paraclimbing World Cup, you have from Saturday June 24th 10pm to Wednesday July 28th 12am to get your money back. 

After the Climbing World Cup, you have from Sunday July 2nd 9pm Monday July 31st 12am to get your money back. 

(If you didn't have time to get your money back after Paraclimbing, you can still do so in the second slot)

If your balance does not appear, check that your card is linked to your account: the 6-letter identifier must be indicated next to your e-mail address.

Do I have access to a summary of my transactions?

Yes, you can access the summary of your transactions via your account on the event website. event website.

Is it possible to use the card of another event?

No, it is not possible to use another card than the one provided during the event.
